This music shaker is handmade in Ghana from half small gourds that are attached to the handle with woven cane. It contains pebbles or seeds and metal bottle tops which create a “tinkerbell” sound. Percussive musicians can produce a variety of sounds depending on how they move the shaker so the contents hit the cane or the gourd. SAFETY: This music instrument is not suitable for babies as it contains small pebbles that could cause choking.
