ASAWA LOCK Insulation Pin Tape (Clear)

$49.76 $78.12
ASAWA LOCK or Self-Adhesive Insulation Pin is a self-adhesive insulation fastener that can be peeled off and stuck to the workpiece immediately. It is produced by standard machinery, using aluminum pins, GI steel base plates, and foam tape with tackified acrylic adhesive, which has very high adhesion. ASAWA LOCK Features High-quality materials: ASAWA LOCK uses high-quality materials in production to create strong, durable products that last long, eliminating problems and concerns during use.   Image – Insulation tape pin (self-adhesive insulation fastener)   Strong adhesion: The clear insulation pin tape uses tackified acrylic adhesive, which provides high adhesion that strengthens over time. It passes the IEC 61215 (Climate tests) standard, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.   High temperature resistance: The insulation pins and steel plates can already withstand high operating temperatures. We have chosen tape that can withstand high heat, which can withstand temperatures up to 85oC Easy and convenient use: ASAWA LOCK has developed the product from the “Insulation Pin Tape (Blue)” to “Insulation Pin Tape (Clear)” to maintain the same strong adhesion but make it easier to remove the liner film. Image – Easy to use, just peel off the tape and stick it to the workpiece   ASAWA QC 100% Standard: All ASAWA brand products undergo the following QC: Safety-cut pin tips to prevent nails from digging into fingernails while remaining smooth and sharp GI steel base plates without metal burrs Straight base plates, not bent, can adhere closely to the surface Pin length according to specifications, without length reduction Image – 100% QC of products according to ASAWA standards What’s special about Tackified Acrylic Adhesive foam tape? Using Tackified Acrylic foam tape to produce insulation pin tape (self-adhesive insulation fasteners) for insulation installation has pros and cons that need to be considered in the specific context of the work:   ✅ Pros Easy and quick installation: This is the clearest advantage. Users simply peel off the liner and stick the insulation pin onto the desired surface, such as under metal sheet roofing, on air ducts, or walls. It greatly reduces work steps compared to applying adhesive and waiting for it to dry, or welding/drilling. High initial tack and adheres to various surfaces: Adding tackifier to acrylic adhesive gives the tape good initial tack, allowing it to stick immediately to surfaces. It also works well with many materials found in construction, such as metals (zinc, aluminum), glass, and some plastics. Excellent environmental resistance: Acrylic adhesive is known for its high durability. Temperature resistant: Suitable for under-roof or wall work that faces high accumulated heat. It maintains adhesion better than rubber-based adhesives. Moisture and UV resistant: Does not deteriorate easily when exposed to moisture or sunlight, making it suitable for long-term installation. Flexible and distributes force well: The foam core allows the tape to conform to slight curves or unevenness of surfaces and acts as a vibration absorber, which helps maintain durable adhesion. Does not damage surface materials: Installation does not require drilling holes, so it doesn’t damage the main structure, doesn’t risk rust at drill holes, and maintains the original surface appearance. ❌ Cons Higher price: Insulation pin tape using high-quality acrylic foam adhesive will have a higher cost than those using nail adhesive or other types of tape, which may affect the overall budget if used in large quantities. Requires good surface preparation: Adhesion performance greatly depends on surface cleanliness. The surface must be dry and free of dust, oil, or moisture. If installed in areas with a lot of construction dust, it may significantly reduce adhesion. Has load-bearing limitations: Although it has high adhesion, there are limits to its load-bearing capacity. For particularly thick and heavy insulation, more may need to be used per area, or other mechanical fastening methods may need to be used in conjunction. Takes time to reach maximum adhesion: Acrylic adhesive requires curing time, generally about 24-72 hours, to reach 100% full adhesion efficiency. Hanging heavy insulation immediately after installation may risk detachment.   No need to re-apply aluminum tape ASAWA is the first to develop clear insulation pin tape with increased thickness that doesn’t come off when applying adhesive, reducing work time and saving costs. When wrapping fiberglass or rock wool insulation on air ducts, we use insulation pin tape to stick to the duct surface to hold the insulation. Then we apply adhesive to the duct surface for better insulation adhesion. But the old tape wouldn’t withstand the adhesive, causing the pins to come off the duct surface, so aluminum tape had to be used to cover the insulation pins on the duct.
