STAYPUT “T”-LOCK FASTENER Stayput® Horizontal and Vertical fasteners have provided a reliable, secure, and corrosion free fixing for over 50 years. However, increasingly customers have been asking for a fastener with similar characteristics in a more modern design. So with this in mind we set about designing a new fastener that was less obtrusive when covers are removed, a desirable feature for discerning boat owners. Introducing the Stayput® T Lock. Now when covers are removed all that remains is a neat, low profile fixture. The Stayput® T Lock consists of three 100% corrosion free nylon composite components: a Cap, Key, and Base. There are 2 options for the Base; a low 5mm profile rectangular base with 2 fixing holes, or a round 8mm profile base with a single fixing hole. Both bases are designed to be secured using a 6g countersunk screw. The Round Base requires a suitable adhesive sealant to be applied at installation to ensure it will not rotate during use. The Cap and Key are installed into the fabric through a sSP4 eyelet or 10mm grommet, and are simply pressed or tapped together. Once installed the Cap and Key remain attached to the cover. To secure your cover simply insert the Key into the Base and rotate the Cap ¼ turn clockwise until engaged with the Base. To remove simply turn the Cap ¼ turn counterclockwise.
